Gangavathi Jobs ("we", "us") operates this website and mobile apps to connect job seekers with employers in Gangavathi and nearby areas. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why, and the choices you have. We process personal data in accordance with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the Information Technology Act, 2000.

1. Data we collect

• Account data: mobile number (verified by OTP), name, email, preferred language.
• Job seeker profile: photo, date of birth, gender, education, work experience, skills, languages, expected salary, preferred location, resumes you upload.
• Employer data: contact person, business name, address, GSTIN, logo and business verification documents.
• Activity: jobs viewed, saved and applied for; messages exchanged with employers; support tickets.
• Payments: plan purchased, amount, invoice details and the Razorpay payment reference. We never see or store your card, UPI PIN or bank credentials.
• Device data: IP address, device type and push-notification token, used for security and notifications.

2. How we use your data

• To create and secure your account and verify your mobile number.
• To show relevant jobs and send job alerts, application updates, interview and payment notifications.
• To process payments, issue invoices and handle refunds.
• To prevent fraud, fake job postings and misuse of the platform.

3. Sharing with employers — only with your consent

Your profile, contact details and resume are shared with an employer only when you apply to that employer's job and tick the consent box. If you turn on "searchable profile", verified employers may also discover your profile. You can withdraw an application at any time, after which the employer can no longer download your resume or see your contact details.

4. Service providers

We use trusted processors for SMS (OTP), payments (Razorpay), cloud hosting and file storage, email and push notifications (Firebase). They process data only on our instructions.

5. Storage & security

Data is stored on servers in India where available. Resumes and verification documents are kept in private storage and are only accessible through permission-checked requests. Passwords are hashed, sessions use short-lived tokens, and administrative actions are recorded in audit logs.

6. Retention

We keep your account data while your account is active. Payment and invoice records are retained for 8 years as required by Indian tax law.

7. Your rights

You can access and correct your data from your dashboard, withdraw consent, and request deletion of your account by contacting us. We will respond within 30 days.
